Search For Missing Boaters Enters Second Week

RCMP officers and civilians are continuing to search for two missing boaters on Deschambault Lake.

Steven Ballantyne and Roderick Eninew, both 32 years of age, haven’t been seen since last Thursday.

They had told some fellow fishers they were going to another part of their lake — and that is the last anyone has heard from them.

Their boat, along with a jacket, were both found in the lake.

Aerial searches have been carried out, as well as searches on the shoreline, but to no avail.

The RCMP underwater recovery team has now been called in to assist with the effort.
