Suspicious Fire Destroys Reserve RCMP Office

An RCMP community office on the Moosomin First Nation is no longer useable because of a suspicious fire.

An RCMP officer stationed at the office noticed a fire burning just outside the building at around 3:30 yesterday morning.

The Mounties say before the fire could be extinguished, substantial damage was caused to the structure and it is no longer available for use.

The building, which is the property of the Moosomin First Nation and leased to the RCMP, was converted from a residence to an office.
