Fatal Fire Claims Life

A fatal fire in Michel Village has left one person dead.

Shortly before 1:00 p.m. Thursday, Dillon RCMP and a local fire crew responded to a report of a house fire in the community.

The remains of one person were discovered after the fire had been put out.

An autopsy is required to positively identify the deceased.

The Office of the Fire Commissioner and the RCMP are investigating the cause of the fire.

According to the RCMP, the fire does not appear to be suspicious.
