Suspect In Fatal Vehicle-Pedestrian Crash In Court

An Ahtahkakoop First Nation man accused of running over two teens in a vehicle last week is facing numerous charges.
19-year-old Trevor Kyle Norman Peekeekoot made his first court appearance in Prince Albert this morning.
He was arrested after an incident last Wednesday evening that saw a truck strike two pedestrians on a grid road on the Ahtahkakoop reserve.
The collision resulted in the death of a 16-year-old girl, who died on the scene, and serious injury to a 17-year-old boy, who at last word was still in hospital in critical condition.
Peekeekoot has been charged with dangerous driving causing death, dangerous driving causing bodily harm, and failure to stop at the scene of an accident.
