A young man from the George Gordon First Nation says he wants to help people — and is looking to the Bold Eagle program to help him.

Brett McNab just graduated from high school in Punnichy.

He says he signed up for this summer’s program to explore a policing or military career.

The Bold Eagle cadet program — a partnership between the FSIN and the Canadian Forces — is in its 21st year.

Of the 92 cadets signed up this year, 27 are from Saskatchewan.

McNabb is starting six weeks of training this week in Wainwright, Alberta.
