Pinehouse Woman Killed In Two-Vehicle Crash

The RCMP are releasing details today about a fatal crash five kilometres south of Pinehouse over the weekend.

 

The Mounties say two vehicles collided on Highway 914 on Saturday night shortly before midnight.

 

A total of eight people were involved.

 

An initial investigation indicates a Toyota pickup truck was attempting to pass a Ford Freestyle when the driver of the pickup lost control.

 

As a result, three people were ejected.

 

A 38-year-old man from Prince Albert and a 17 year-old girl from Pinehouse were airlifted to hospital in Saskatoon with serious injuries.

 

A 24-year-old woman from Pinehouse was pronounced dead at the scene.

 

The five occupants in the second vehicle, a Ford Freestyle, are all said to be unhurt.

 

The identity of the dead woman has not been released.

 

An investigation is ongoing.
