Fond du Lac Firefighters Off To National Event

Members of the Fond du Lac firefighting team will represent the province later this month at the National Aboriginal Firefighting Championships.

Fond du Lac edged out Black Lake last month at the provincial competition in Sturgeon Lake.

This year’s national competition is being held in Merritt, B.C.

The participants will showcase various skills related to putting out a fire in a structure or house.

Some of the excercises involve rescuing someone from a fire, as well as getting into a house properly.
