A Regina filmmaker is hoping his documentary will give people a new perspective on issues in their own backyard.
Kent Morrison is part of the group of University of Regina journalism students that made “Denendeh” — a film about race relations in the northern Saskatchewan community of La Loche.
Morrison directed the film and he says the whole crew learned a lot.
“Denendeh” won the best small budget documentary at the Human Rights Documentary Festival in Toronto.
It will also appear at the Montreal World Film Festival at the end of the month.
