The province’s Minister of Energy and Resources says even if the province isn’t pursuing nuclear energy right now, the option is still on the table.
Bill Boyd addressed hundreds of delegates this morning at the 3rd International Uranium Conference in Saskatoon today.
He says the province has not closed the door on nuclear power.
Boyd says he is definitely pro-nuclear, and says it remains an option if the economics are right.
He says if there are export opportunities or emerging demand for electricity in the future, the province’s position will have to be re-evaluated.
