Survivors Share Stories With Truth Commission

Teepees are on the lawn outside the First Nations University of Canada in Regina today to help people tell their stories.

The Truth and Reconcilation Commission is gathering statements from residential school survivors.

Lisa Michelle is with the TRC and says supports are in place for those who share.

A pipe ceremony was held this morning, and statement gathering is taking place this afternoon.

The event is being held in Regina because many people were unable to make the trip to a recent TRC conference in Winnipeg.
