The Saulteaux Healing and Wellness Centre held their grand opening yesterday on the Cote First Nation.

The 5.2 million dollar facility took almost 2 years to complete.

The out patient addictions centre programming is based on a Saulteax model of healing the physical, emotional and spiritual being of clients.

Executive Director Zelda Quewezance says the cultural room is dedicated to counsellor Lambert Keshane who passed away last January.

Quewezance says the centre is unique approach because it incorporates the Saulteaux language to help others.
