Three Waterhen Lake First Nation girls are safe and sound after a massive search was held Friday night to find them.
The girls, between the ages of seven and 10,had floated out on to Big Waterhen Lake in a wild rice boat.
Meadow Lake RCMP were called at about 7 p.m., and a massive search began.
It was not known if there was a way to drive or steer the boat, or if any life jackets were on board.
Also, the three young girls were not dressed for the weather, or for being out after dark.
All three girls were found about four hours later on the north side of the lake.
RCMP say they were cold and scared, but otherwise OK.
