Lawyer Suspended For Misusing Band TLE Funds

A Saskatchewan lawyer has been ordered to repay money he misappropriated from a First Nation.
The Law Society found Albert Angus misappropriated funds from the Mosquito-Grizzly Bear’s Head-Lean Man First Nation’s Treaty Entitlement Trust, and he now has to pay restitution of $10,740 to the band.
He is also ordered to pay more than $8,100 to the Law Society of Saskatchewan.
In addition, Angus has been suspended from practice for one year.
