A new affordable rental housing project for low-income people in Yorkton is expected to benefit four Metis families.
The Provincial Metis Housing Corporation is spearheading the $1.3-million project, with funding contributions from Ottawa and the province.
The dwellings are intended for working parents with four or more children.
Each unit in the two semi-detached, bi-level buildings will have five bedrooms and 2,150 square feet of living space.
The units are expected to be completed in the spring.
