Anti-Violence Program Launched

A University of Saskatchewan researcher is working to prevent violence amongst young people.
Marie Battiste has helped to develop curriculum that looks at violence prevention and intervention and it’s delivered to grade 7 to 12 students.
Training is provided to teachers who then deliver the program.
Battiste says the idea is to teach students the fourth ‘R’.
Currently teachers are delivering the curriculum in Saskatoon, Regina, Meadow Lake and the North Battleford area but any interested teachers can contact Battiste at the Aboriginal Education Research Centre.
