The 10th annual FSIN/SIGA powwow kicks off one week from today, and this year the event will honour fallen soldiers.

There will be a competition in honour of the late Constables Robin Cameron and Marc Bourdages on Friday, and one on Saturday in honour of the late Sergeant Darby Morin.

Pat Cook, Vice President of Corporate Affairs at SIGA, says the powwow is an opportunity for everyone to come together and share First Nations culture.

She invites non-First Nations people to join the celebration.

Coinciding with the powwow is the FSIN’s annual education symposium, which begins on Monday in Saskatoon with the theme of reconciliation.
