Denare Beach Man Will Stand Trial

A 19-year-old man from Denare Beach will go on trial next summer on a charge of crashing a commercial website in New York City.

RCMP searched a home in June and seized several computers and software.

Ryan Devin Lee is charged with the unlawful use of a computer to commit an offence.

Creighton Mounties were assisted in the investigation by the RCMP Technological Crime Unit and the Canadian Consulate in New York City.

Lee is accused of conducting a Distributed Denial of Service attack which prevented users from connecting to a commercial website.
