SIGA Online Gaming Idea Still At Research Stage

The Saskatchewan Indian Gaming Authority continues to look into expanding into Internet gaming.
SIGA President and CEO Zane Hansen says his group is currently only researching the industry — and it is not even at a stage where it can start considering whether to proceed or not.
The minister responsible for SaskGaming, Ken Cheveldayoff, says his ministry has discussed the concept of Internet gaming with SIGA — but the two partners haven’t talked about funding arrangements.
Both SIGA and Cheveldayoff say it’s too soon to decide how gaming profits would be divided.
Internet gambling is currently not a regulated form of gaming in the province.
