Missing Big River Man Found Dead

RCMP say the body of a 51-year-old man from the Big River First Nation who had gone missing has been found.

The Mounties say family members reported the man as missing on November 29th, after not being seen by friends or family in the previous ten days.

A search was organized involving members of the community, his family and a local search and rescue team.

His body was eventually located by the search and rescue team in a wooded area near his home on Friday.

The Mounties say no foul play is suspected in the death at this time.

An autopsy was ordered, but the results are still pending.

The man’s name has not been released at the request of his family.
