La Ronge Homeless Given Backpacks With Supplies

A project to distribute backpacks containing clothing and personal items to homeless people in La Ronge continues.

Employees at Visions North Community Futures came up with the idea and distributed 20 of the backpacks this fall.

Visions North executive administrator Jean Powell says they are working with the Scattered Sites Outreach Project to put together 20 more backpacks.

Powell says the backpacks contain things like towels, toiletries, flashlights and certificates for boots and clothing.
