Moosomin Chief Election A Seven-Person Race

There will be no shortage of candidates in the upcoming Moosomin First Nation election.

Seven people are running for chief, including incumbent Danny Blackstar.

Other candidates for chief are Arnold Blackstar, councillor Elliott Kahpeaysewat, Gabriel (Ben) Mooswa, Gloria Mooswa, Leslie Moosomin and Quenton Swiftwolfe.

Forty-six people are running for band council, including eight incumbents.

The election takes place on January 22nd.
