Election Day At Canoe Lake

Elections for chief and council are taking place today at the Canoe Lake Cree Nation.
Seven people are running for chief, while 27 others are running for seven council positions.
The candidates for chief include incumbent leader Guy Lariviere.
Lariviere is being challenged by Francis Iron, Peter Laliberte, Eval Lariviere, Norman Opikokew, Robert Opikokew and Calvin Williams-Freeman.
The winners will serve two-year terms.
