Student Helps Fight Cancer

An 8 year-old boy from a Prince Albert community school is doing his best to help fight cancer.

On Monday Preston Switenky shaved his head as part of a fundraiser at Turgeon School.

The effort raised over three thousand dollars.

Preston says his hair will now be sent to another child who is battling cancer.

Preston’s mother, Tara, says the students, families and teachers at Turgeon School all deserve a lot of credit for raising so much money in such a short time period.
