A 25-year-old woman from Regina has been sentenced for two robberies in 2007.

She is now also the second woman in Saskatchewan to be named a long-term offender.

Josephine Shelley Lynn Pelletier was sentenced to four and a half years in prison for two robberies with threats of violence.

Pelletier is recieving three years and nine months credit for time spent in remand since her arrest in March of 2007.

Pelletier had also pleaded guilty to arson and assault while on remand in the Pine Grove Correctional Centre.

She received an 18-month sentence for the arson and one year for assault to be served consecutively.

The long-term offender status means Pelletier will be subject to 10 years of supervision upon her release, random drug testing and a lifetime ban on firearms.
