A North Battleford man is being honoured for bridging Aboriginal and non-Aborginal cultures.

For those efforts, Ray Fox is being inducted into North Battleford’s Frontier Mall Wall of Fame.

Fox is a long time city councillor and is orginally from the Sweetgrass First Nation.

He served as executive director of the Battlefords Indian and Metis Friendship Centre, and currently works for the justice branch of the Battlefords Tribal Council.

He has helped organize Aboriginal Day celebrations in the Battlefords, and sits on a number of committees in the area.

Fox says he tries to bring both cultures and groups together because he believes it is necessary for the health of the community.

Fox will be inducted during a ceremony this spring.
