The sacrifice of First Nations war widows is being remembered.

The First Nations Veterans Association is selling calendars honouring the women whose husbands served in the military.

Arland Tootoosis fought in the Vietnam War and still gets choked up when he talks about the debt the women have paid.

Tootoosis notes the widows suffered alongside their husbands when the government refused to properly compensate them for time overseas.
