Canoe Lake Murder Suspect Remains In Custody

The 17-year-old boy charged after the death of a Canoe Lake elder is back in court next month.

The suspect was arrested following the investigation into the death of James Durocher.

The body of the 73-year-old was found in his burned-out home after it was destroyed by fire last Thursday.

An autopsy later revealed that foul play was involved.

The suspect is being held in custody and has a court appearance scheduled for March 10th in Canoe Lake.
