SPCA Looking For New Home for Dog

The Saskatoon SPCA is hoping to find a new home for a northern dog suffering from a gunshot wound.

Blue is a collie-huskie cross who was found shot in Pelican Narrows a few days ago.

Some local residents apparently contacted the RCMP and had the dog taken to Saskatoon for treatment.

SPCA manager Tiffany Koback says Blue is well on the mend and they’re hoping for a full recovery.

Koback says she knows dog culls do happen in the north but wishes more money could be found for northern communities so they could hold prevention campaigns instead.
