Buffalo Narrows Mayor Wins SaskParty Nomination

The mayor of Buffalo Narrows will carry the Saskatchewan Party banner into the next provincial election.

Last night, Bobby Woods won the party’s nomination campaign for the riding of Athabasca.

He defeated fellow contestant Phil Elliott.

Last night’s nomination meeting took place in Beauval. A similar meeting was held in La Loche a night earlier.

The riding has been held by the NDP’s Buckley Belanger since 1995.
