Week Before Normal Operations: CanAlaska Officials

Officials with CanAlaska Uranium say it will be at least next week before operations return to normal at the company’s exploration site at Cree Lake.

On Monday a contract worker died when the D-6 Cat he was driving went through the ice.

CanAlaska Vice President of Corporate Development , Emile Fung says the situation is still being assessed.

Fung says most of the workers at the Cree Lake site have been sent home and its not known when they will return.
