A research project on Metis families in southwest Saskatchewan is now complete and available to the public at the Swift Current Museum.

The work was done last year by Metis writer Barb Parchman.

Museum Director Hugh Henry says she visited a number of families in the Cypress Hills area and compiled information on the era when the Metis first arrived in the area.

The Metis research project was made possible through a Saskatchewan Heritage Foundation Grant for the Year of the Metis.
