A conservative Member of Parliament says he’s disappointed a bill that would reveal the salaries of First Nations chiefs didn’t pass unanimously.
Prince Albert’s Randy Hoback notes Bill C-575 only passed by a margin of 151 to 128.
He says the federal NDP were uniformly opposed to it, which he can’t understand because he says the bill would be good for everyone.
The bill in question is now headed for committee.
Hoback says it should achieve Royal Ascent sometime after that.
