A Metis economic development forum is underway in Prince Albert.

Business leaders and Metis delegates are swapping ideas on how to create jobs and make money in the ever-changing world of business.

Trevor Gladue is the Aboriginal Relations Officer with Ledcor Industries.

The Alberta-based company is the second largest construction company in Canada.

Gladue says they have worked hard to foster their relations with Metis communities because they understand the value of having a local, skilled work-force.

He adds businesses that ignore the Metis sector will not be competitive in the future.
