Travelling Exhibit, Sasipenita, Opens

A new travelling exhibit that highlights the contributions made by the province’s Aboriginal women officially opened yesterday in Saskatoon.

The exhibit, Sasipenita, is at Wanuskewin Heritage Park, but the idea is for it to travel around the province to show people the triumphs of First Nation and Metis women.

The idea for the exhibit came from Monica Goulet, who says the women featured are leaders.

She hopes the exhibit will transform how people think about Aboriginal women.

The exhibit includes a tribute to the late Amber Redman and Daleen Bosse.
