It’s election day for the province’s largest First Nation.

The Lac La Ronge Indian Band has polling stations set up in La Ronge, Stanley Mission, Grandmother’s Bay, Hall Lake, Sucker River and Little Red.

Seven people are challenging incumbent chief Tammy Cook-Searson for the right to lead the band over the next three years.

They are Robert Ballantyne, Gerald Cook, Henry McKenzie, Barb McLeod, Percy Mirasty, Stewart Mirasty and Roger Ratt.

Cook-Searson has been the chief since 2005.
