A judge has adjourned the case of a man charged with assaulting and confining young males on the Pelican Lake First Nation.

27-year-old Larry Thomas remains in remand, pending his next court appearance April 25th.

Several members of Thomas’ family were in a North Battleford courtroom this morning, and some wept as the judge made her decision.

Thomas and 47-year-old Francis Hernandez both face charges of sexual assault with a weapon, unlawful confinement, exposing obscene matter and a variety of other offences.

A 39-year-old woman, Manon Boisvert, has also been charged with one count of unlawful confinement.

There are now three alleged victims in all.

Two boys from the Pelican Lake reserve, aged 14 and 16 years, have since come forward following word of the initial charges.

The other victim is a 23-year-old man from the Witchekan Lake First Nation.
