Man Accused of Trying To Kill La Loche Teen

A man from La Loche has been charged with attempted murder after a teenage girl was stabbed in the community.

 

RCMP were called to a home last Friday at around 4:30 in the morning.

 

It was there they discovered a 15-year-old girl had been stabbed.

 

She was eventually airlifted to a Saskatoon hospital and officers arrested a 20-year-old suspect.

 

Jesse Montgrand faces charges of attempted murder, uttering threats, possession of a weapon and break and enter — as well as four counts of breach of an undertaking.

 

Mounties say Montgrand and the victim knew one another.

 

The accused is due in court on Monday.
