Man Charged For Biting Officer

A man is facing charges after biting a police officer who tried to arrest him in a North Battleford bar Monday night.

RCMP say the police officer is recovering, after being treated and released from hospital.

Corporal Jason Teniuk says the incident began at 12:25 a.m. after 30-year-old Elvis Stone, refused to leave the bar.

Other officers were called to assist in the arrest.

Stone faces several charges, including assault causing bodily harm and resisting arrest.
