Fort Qu’Appelle is flooding on the South East side of town with concern for the All Nations Healing hospital nearby.
Mayor Ron Osika says crews are out to prevent the flood from reaching the hospital.
Meanwhile, the Cowessess First Nation is also on flood watch.
Community members are being advised the school is closed and to stay away from the fast moving water, as well as limit their calls to the band office.
The Saskatchewan Watershed Authority is calling the flooding in the Qu’Appelle valley a once in 25 year event.
