New Trial for Woman Charged with Hatchet Attack

A new trial date has been set for a woman charged with attacking another woman with a hatchet more than a year ago.

The incident happened January 10th, 2010 in Sucker River.

Police say 30-year-old Jennifer Walker was charged with aggravated assault after a 41-year-old woman was injured and taken to hospital.

Walker elected trial by Queen’s Bench judge and jury, but the proceedings set for last fall were delayed.

The new trial has been scheduled for November 28th in Prince Albert.
