Saskatchewan’s Ministry of Energy and Resources is moving to a new electronic system of organizing claims made by mining companies.

Ministry spokesperson Bob Ellis says companies and individuals will now be able to file their dispositions on the internet.

Ellis says a similar system is already being used in other parts of the country.

Ellis says it’s not known how many jobs will be lost as the need to physically stake out claims is eliminated over the next two years.
