Some homes have flooded on the Ochapowace First Nation, and the chief says others are in danger.
Ochapowace is now the fourth First Nation to declare a state of emergency due to the flooding.
Cowessess, Sakimay and Red Earth are also operating under states of emergency.
Ochapowace Chief Ralph Allary says there is also water on the road, and he worries things will get worse before they get better because he says there’s still a lot of ice on nearby Round Lake.
Nearly 1,000 members of First Nations have been forced to flee their homes due to flooding, and there is a total of 13 communities across the province with declared states of emergency.
