Company Will Explore Diamonds by La Ronge

A Canadian company has announced plans to conduct diamond exploration in the La Ronge area this summer.

Stornoway Diamond Corporation says it has acquired the rights to over 33,000 hectares, mainly northeast of Lac La Ronge.

The company says it will do high-resolution airborne geophysical surveying, till sampling and prospecting.

Officials say $5.6 million has been budgeted for the exploration project, which is called the Pikoo Project.
