A Little Pine First Nation man has been sentenced to nine months in jail for biting a police officer.

Thirty-year-old Elvis Stone received that sentence in North Battleford Provincial Court Tuesday.

The incident occurred at about 12:30 a.m. on April 11th.

When an intoxicated bar patron refused to leave, an employee called police.

As a police officer tried to arrest Stone, he was bitten twice on the leg.

Stone will be back in court June 8th for an unrelated matter.
