RCMP Confirm Timber Bay Fire Claimed Two

RCMP fire scene examiners have confirmed what many people suspected — last week’s house fire in Timber Bay claimed two lives.

The remains of two people who had been unaccounted for since last Wednesday’s early morning blaze were discovered in the burned-out structure late yesterday.

The victims — 32-year-old Aaron Frank Halkett and 37-year-old Carmella Carmen Halkett — lived in the house.

The RCMP expect it will take a few weeks to determine a cause.
