The manager of a trade school in Saskatoon says many aboriginal students will benefit through a big donation from Potash Corp.

The Saskatoon Trades and Skills centre will receive half a million dollars from the mineral giant.

The school’s Donovan Elliott says they’ve got big plans for the money.

He explains the school has been in existence for 3 years, and teaches things like ceramic-tiling, dry-walling, painting and masonry to young people.

Some of the money will be used to buy a bus to take students out into the community.

Elliott says they also want to hire someone to work with young people and show them what careers are possible through the school.
