La Loche Recovering After Fire

The community of La Loche is recovering from a fire that destroyed two homes on Sunday.

The blaze broke out among some grass and bushes in the village.

Mayor Georgina Jolibois says dry conditions are partially to blame.

Jolibois says community members are giving food and shelter to the families whose homes were lost.

Donations are also being accepted.

Jolibois says the RCMP is investigating the cause of the fire and the clean-up work is just beginning.
