The mining association of Canada has raised twenty-five thousand dollars for the National Aboriginal Achievement Foundation.
The association recently hosted a fundraising dinner for the group.
The event was held at the Ottawa Museum of Nature and attended by Foundation president Roberta Jamieson.
The mining association says it continues to advocate for aboriginal education and recognizes the impact it will have on Canada’s economy.
Association president Gordon Peeling also announced his retirement at the event.
