Cameco Teams Do Well At Mine Rescue Competition

Cameco was well represented at the Saskatchewan Mining Association’s 43rd Annual Emergency Response/Mine Rescue Skills Competition in Saskatoon over the weekend.

The company’s team at the Key Lake operation was named surface winner of the first aid event.

Meantime, Cameco’s McArthur River squad captured the surface award in proficiency.

McArthur River was also named the winner of the underground competition in the practical skills category.

Cameco was also presented with the Regional John T. Ryan safety trophy for the best safety performance in the metal mine category in 2010 for its McArthur River mine.
