Horses on the One Arrow First Nation are apparently going a long way to helping young people on the reserve.
For the past four months, students and young adults on the First Nation have been taking an equestrian program designed to promote positive behavior.
Today, leaders from the Federation of Saskatchewan Indian Nations are in attendance for a grand opening on the reserve.
Koralie Geaudry is the director of the Assisted Learning program.
She explains it teaches youth how to ride and communicate with horses, as well as learning leadership and team-building skills.
Geaudry adds the First Nation plans to start offering the program to other communities, as well.
